Hi, I have some questions regarding the spiritual nature of man. I have been reading Abdu'l-Baha all morning, but I still can't understand it. What exactly is the difference between soul and spirit? What is the spirit? What is the soul? What is the mind? What do they do, and how do they relate to one another? In 'Soul, Mind and Spirit' (Baha'i World Faith), Abdu'l-Baha says that 'The human spirit which distinguishes man from the animal is the rational soul; and these two names -- the human spirit and the rational soul -- designate one thing.' If they are the same thing, why does sometimes Abdu'l-Baha refer to them using different names? I am most confused. I think I understand 'Mind'. It is the power of the spirit (whatever the spirit is!) Are the 5 inner and 5 outer powers powers of the mind? The outer powers, hearing, sight etc, they come from our physical senses... the inner ones are spiritual. Are the inner powers powers of the soul or spirit? Or mind? What is the mind! Oh I can't get my head round it. Please help! I didn't find the right solution from the internet. References: bahai-library.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=63Animated Product Intro
